Quinn Johnson and sophomore catcher
Nigel Buckley were named 1st-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association selections to lead seven Toros total named to All-CCAA teams.
These selections mark repeat honors for the duo, with first baseman
Tristan Usher, outfielder
Alex Sepulveda and pitchers
Julian Castro,
Zachary Lopez and
Jordan Townley all earning honorable mentions.
Cal State San Marcos' Zech Samayoa earned both Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, with Cal State Monterey Bay's Andrew Kotin earning Pitcher of the Year, CSUMB's Walt White Coach of the Year and Cal State San Bernardino's Tyson Pettingill the Freshman of the Year honor.
Johnson was in the CCAA's top 10 in SLG, OB and OPS, also finishing 8th in home runs, with Buckley earning top 10 honors in BA, SLG, OPS, hits, and RBI and Usher finishing 6th in walks.
On the bump, Castro tied for the league lead in saves with Lopez finishing seventh in opposing batting average, and Townley tying for second in fewest home runs allowed, tied for eighth in fewest runs allowed and sitting 10th in fewest hits allowed.
The Toros finished tied for eighth in league play with a 21-14 overall mark and 13-19 in CCAA action.
