ARCATA, Calif. --
Savanna Kastigar enjoyed a 2-for-3 performance with a home run and four RBI to power Cal State Dominguez Hills to a 7-4 opening-game win to conclude today's doubleheader at Cal Poly Humboldt, before the Jacks took the nightcap to take a 3-1 series win over the Cardinal and Gold.
The Toros move to 22-13 overall and 4-8 in CCAA play after today's results.
Cal State Dominguez Hills scored the game's first five runs, with Kastigar driving home two in the second to give the Toros a 4-0 lead.
After the hosts scored three in the bottom half of the third inning, CSUDH tacked on two more in the fifth after Kastigar launched one over the left-center field fence for a 2-run shot.
Ashley Ogata took care of the rest, tossing 4.2 innings to pick up the win, allowing just one earned run in the process to improve to 7-0 on the year.
Marisa Dominguez enjoyed a 3-for-4 outing with two runs scored as the Toros banged 10 hits in the win.

CSUDH added a run in the sixth on a Jack error to give the visitors a 4-1 lead, but the hosts got to Toro pitcher Ogata in the sixth inning, scoring four runs to take a 5-4 lead where the score remained.
Michaela Meza earned three hits and
Makayla Bishop and Martinez two hits each in the loss.
The Toros return home next weekend to battle Cal State San Bernardino, with first pitch of Friday's game one doubleheader set for 1 pm on Toro Diamond.
