ALISA VIEJO, Calif. -- Cindy Perry Brown, a Cal State Dominguez Hills two-time softball All-American and the 2005 California Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Year, was selected to the CCAA Hall of Fame Class of 2025 in a ceremony held on March 7 on the campus of Cal Poly Pomona.
Brown, who terrorized opposing defenses with her bat-to-ball skill and blazing speed, donned the Cardinal and Gold from 2003-2006, leading the Toros to an average of 40.5 wins during her four years, the best four-year stretch in program history. That era included four-straight trips to the NCAA Regionals that saw the Toros reach 46 wins twice, and come within one win of reaching the College World Series in her senior year.
Having held or shared 17 records after exhausting her eligibility, Brown still holds school career records for at-bats, hits, runs scored, stolen bases, highest stolen base percentage, longest hitting streak, single season records for runs scored, stolen bases, consecutive stolen bases, and the single game record for stolen bases, per the
CSUDH softball record book.

Brown was one of six inductees to the 2025 Hall of Fame class. Her fellow recipients include:
Andrew Bailey, Sonoma State, Men's Soccer
Rosalyn Bryant, Cal State LA, Track & Field
Bobby Burries, Cal State San Bernardino, Men's Basketball
Sue Gozansky, Cal Poly Pomona / UC Riverside, Volleyball Head Coach
Jen Serna, Chico State, Cross Country, Track & Field, Steeplechase
Brown is the seventh Toro to be named to the CCAA Hall of Fame, following in alphabetical order Tony Alfaro (MSOC), Kevin Gallaugher (MSOC), Carmelita Jeter (T&F), Kei Kamara (MSOC), Kevin Pillar (BSB), and head coach Dave Yanai (MBB).
The CCAA Hall of Fame now includes 55 members from 14 current and former member institutions.
