ALISA VIEJO, Calif. -- Junior sprinter Rylee Montez picked up a pair of 1st-place finishes as the Toros competed at the Soka Indoor Outdoor.

Montez crossed the tape in the 400 meter dash in a time of 58.93, the only competitor to break the 1:00 mark which was more than a second faster than the runner up.  Montez then won the 200 meter dash in a time of 26.21, nearly a second faster than the runner up.

Teloni Ervin rounded out the Toros with top-3 finishes, placing 3rd in the 600 meter run in a time of 1:38.11, just .06 faster than her sister Leloni Ervin, who finished in 1:38.17.

Two Toros also competed at yesterday's Riverside City College Early Bird Invitational.  Alyssa Meeks put up a pair of 4th place finishes, crossing the line in the 60 meter dash in a time of 7.72 and in the 300 meter dash in a time of 40.48, while Addison Toliver placed 16th in the 600 meter run in a time of 2:12.97 to lead the Toros to an 11th place finish.
