IRVINE, Calif. – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros had a solid performance at the Steve Scott track and field invitational, showing strong efforts in both sprints and field events.
Leloni Ervin led the Toros in the 100 meters, finishing 25th with a time of 12.74 seconds, aided by a 1.1 m/s wind.
Alyssa Renwick followed closely, placing 26th with a time of 12.83 seconds and a 1.4 m/s wind.
Teloni Ervin secured 30th place with a time of 13.08 seconds (0.7 m/s wind).
Melandy Davis and
Chantel Palmer rounded out the event, finishing 33rd and 36th with times of 13.60 seconds (1.1 m/s wind) and 15.29 seconds (1.9 m/s wind), respectively.
The Toros' 4x100 relay team, consisting of
Melandy Davis,
Leloni Ervin,
Teloni Ervin, and
Alyssa Renwick, placed 5th with a time of 52.53 seconds.
In the shot put, Fallon Forman finished 28th with a mark of 9.09 meters (29 feet 10 inches).
Zanna Hurst led the Toros in the javelin throw, placing 8th with a mark of 19.78 meters (64 feet 11 inches). Kylie Gallick followed in 9th place with a throw of 18.72 meters (61 feet 5 inches), while
Katrina Witbeck secured 10th with a mark of 18.51 meters (60 feet 9 inches). Fallon Forman finished 12th with a throw of 15.83 meters (51 feet 11 inches), and Joe Benoit placed 13th with a mark of 15.59 meters (51 feet 2 inches). Hosanna Walker and Mlia Goldsmith and Amaya Snowden placed 14th, 15th, and 16th, respectively, with marks of 15.17 meters (49 feet 9 inches), 14.29 meters (46 feet 10 inches), and 13.66 meters (44 feet 10 inches). Kylee Edgar rounded out the event for the Toros, finishing 17th with a throw of 11.60 meters (38 feet 1 inch).
