Carson, Calif.,- Three members of the Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team were named to the 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-West Region teams, as announced Wednesday morning by the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Junior right-hander Justin Abercrombie headlined the list for the Toros with a First Team selection after a stellar campaign that also earned him CCAA Pitcher of the Year honors. Abercrombie went 8-2 on the mound with a 2.83 ERA, 69 strikeouts, and a league-best 1.05 WHIP across 63.2 innings pitched. He allowed just one home run all season and held opponents to a .208 batting average.
Utility standout Quinn Johnson was named to the Second Team after slashing .324 with 57 hits, 12 home runs, 42 RBIs, and a .985 OPS. The junior from Poway, Calif., also earned All-CCAA First Team honors and was a key piece of the Toro offense throughout the year.
Joining Johnson on the Second Team was junior reliever Julian Castro, who anchored the Toro bullpen. Castro recorded eight saves and posted a 2.72 ERA with 30 strikeouts over 53.0 innings pitched. He held opposing hitters to a .241 average and appeared in a team-high 24 games.
The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-America teams will be announced Friday, May 30, with only First Team All-Region honorees eligible for All-America honors.
The trio helped lead CSUDH to a 29-22 overall record and a second-place finish in the CCAA regular season.
