CHICO, Calif. – Cal State Dominguez Hills earned a 1-1 draw on the road against Chico State on Friday afternoon at University Soccer Stadium.
After conceding an early goal in the ninth minute, the Toros answered back in the 53rd when David Politron buried the equalizer off an assist from Aldair Marta.
CSUDH controlled much of the match offensively, outshooting the Wildcats 20-7 and putting eight shots on target. Jose Peredia tallied a team-high four shots, including two on goal, while Politron matched him with four shots and two on frame. Christian Briseño also added two shots, with one on target.
Marta finished with the lone assist on Politron's goal while also recording a shot on goal. In total, the Toros earned 10 corner kicks to Chico's two, applying steady pressure throughout the contest.
Goalkeeper Keegan O'Brien made one save across the 90 minutes to secure his fourth result of the season.
