Box Score CARSON, Calif. — Cal State Dominguez Hills sent its seniors off in style Saturday evening, earning a 2-1 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay at Toro Stadium to remain unbeaten in conference play.
After a scoreless first half, the Toros turned up the pressure in the second. Defender Diego Barahona delivered a breakout performance, scoring both Toro goals to lift the team past the Otters. His brace came just minutes apart, energizing the home crowd of 120 celebrating Senior Day.
In goal, Jack Parker turned in another steady outing, recording three saves and limiting the Otters to a single second-half goal. The defense was anchored by a disciplined back line that stifled Monterey Bay's attack for much of the match.
With the win, CSUDH improves to 6-2-3 overall and 3-0-1 in CCAA play, extending its unbeaten streak to five matches. The Toros will look to carry that momentum into next week's conference road swing.
