CARSON, Calif. — The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team fought back to earn a 1-1 draw against Cal State Monterey Bay on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at Toro Stadium.
After falling behind early in the first half, the Toros regrouped and came out strong after the break. Makenzie Hewisonprovided the equalizer with a powerful strike, notching her first goal of the season to level the score at 1-1.
Kaylee Leavitt led the offensive charge with multiple chances on goal, while Isabella Ramirez added two shots on target as CSUDH controlled possession for much of the second half. Audrey Haman recorded a key save in goal, anchoring a disciplined defensive effort led by Emma Arkus and Riley Burke.
With the result, the Toros move to 4-5-2 overall and 1-2-1 in CCAA play, wrapping up Senior Day with a hard-earned point and continuing to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
