ARCATA, Calif. – Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer dropped a 1-0 decision to Cal Poly Humboldt on Sunday evening at College Creek Field.
The Toros (3-5-1, 0-2 CCAA) outshot the Lumberjacks 9-8 in shots on goal but couldn't find the breakthrough despite consistent pressure in the attacking third. Alyssa Edwards led the offense with two shots, while Leilani Fortuna-Ramos, Kaylee Leavitt, and Gisele Speirs each put attempts on frame.
Goalkeeper Audrey Haman turned in a strong performance with eight saves, keeping Dominguez Hills within striking distance until a late Humboldt goal proved to be the difference.
Cal State Dominguez Hills will return home next week to face UC Merced at Dignity Health Sports Park.
