CARSON — In a challenging matchup, the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros (9-2; 4-1 CCAA) faced a tough defeat against Cal State LA (9-2; 4-1 CCAA) with a final score of 81-66.
The game started off with high energy as both teams battled fiercely. Cal State LA took an early lead, ending the first half with a score of 41-32. Despite a spirited effort from the Toros, they struggled to close the gap, trailing by nine points at halftime.
The Toros scored 34 points in the second half, but Cal State LA added 40 points to close the game, 81-66.
Andre Ball stood out as the top scorer for the Toros, amassing 21 points in 34 minutes. Ball showed efficiency on the field, hitting eight out of 11 shots. He was also active on the boards, securing nine rebounds, and blocked a shot.
Jakob Alamudun also played a pivotal role, contributing 12 points in 36 minutes. He also made four out of five free throws, grabbed one rebound, and dished out three assists.
DJ Guest added 11 points in 34 minutes. Guest's performance included 4-7 shooting from the field and an impressive 2-3 from beyond the arc. He also contributed six rebounds, three assists, and two steals, showcasing his all-around capabilities.
