CARSON — In a closely contested volleyball match, the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros fell to the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos in straight sets, with scores of 25-22, 25-19, and 25-18.
With nine kills and a remarkable hitting percentage of .412,
Jesi Diekmann was a force to be reckoned with on the offensive front. She also contributed defensively with four digs and one block, accumulating a total of 10.5 points for her team.
Kayly Pau was another notable player for the Toros, contributed seven kills and demonstrated versatility with three digs and one block. She played a crucial role in the team's offensive efforts, totaling 8.5 points.
Bailey Fuches served as the Toros' primary setter, amassing 13 assists in the match. Fuches also added five kills and 11 digs, showcasing her all-around skills on the court.
Facilitating the team's offense was
Evania Sanchez as she had 17 assists and chipped in defensively with eight digs.
