Toros Seal Dominant Victory Over Fresno Pacific, 76-49

CARSON – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros delivered a dominant performance in their 76-49 victory over Fresno Pacific University.

The Toros set an aggressive pace from the start, outscoring Fresno Pacific 37-22 in the first half. Their offense clicked on all cylinders, efficiently converting opportunities and establishing a commanding lead. The defensive effort was equally impressive, limiting Fresno Pacific's scoring and controlling the pace of the game.

In the second half, the Toros continued their dominance, adding 39 points to their tally while holding Fresno Pacific to 27. The consistent performance on both ends of the court underscored the Toros' control over the game, as they extended their lead and never looked back taking the win by a commanding, 76-49.

"I'm pleased with our effort on the defensive end tonight" said coach Steve Becker on his teams performance. "We still have a ways to go defensively, but it's been a big point of emphasis the past two weeks in practice, so it's good to see the guys hard work pay off tonight. We missed a lot at the rim tonight, and need to do a better job of finishing on the offensive end. The guys are playing hard and we need to apply the same effort next week versus Concordia."

Jakob Alamudun led the team with an impressive 20 points. He was highly efficient, shooting 7-10 from the field and perfect from beyond the arc, hitting 2-2. Alamudun also pulled down seven rebounds and recorded two blocks, demonstrating his all-around impact on the game.

Another key contributor for the Toros was Andre Ball as he scored 17 points. Ball shot 7-12 from the field, including 1-2 from three-point range. He also contributed on the boards with four rebounds and added a block, underscoring his versatile role in the team's performance.

Jeremy Dent-Smith added 13 points to the board. His overall contribution of 6-14 from the field made an impact. Dent-Smith also dished out two assists on the game.

Jordan Hilstock added eight points for the Toros, including hitting 2-3 from beyond the arc. His four rebounds and defensive effort were also crucial for the team.

DJ Guest while struggling with shooting, going 2-12, still managed to lead the team with eight rebounds and five assists, showcasing his ability to impact the game beyond scoring.

The Toros return to the Torodome Wednesday, November 22nd against Concordia University Irvine with tipoff set at 5pm.
