Cameron Barry scored 24 points as the Cal State Dominguez Hills men's basketball team ran away with an 82-62 win over Sonoma State Saturday to snap a three-game skid and give the Toros their first CCAA win of the season.
The Toros improve to 3-4 overall.
Barry had a stellar afternoon on the shooting column, going 9-of-17 with four of those coming from 3-point range.
DJ Guest had 12 points to go along with five rebounds and
Jordan Hilstock had an 11-ppoint performance.
The Toros ended the day shooting 54.2 percent overall, their highest percentage since their game against Concordia.
After Sonoma got into a rhythm to make it a 22-20 deficit, the Toros flipped the momentum to their favor and used a 19-4 run within the final 5:30 in the half to take a 31-24 into intermission.
Dominguez Hills had led by as many as 34 points halfway into the second half.
Sonoma was led by Jaylen Wells, who put up a monstrous 31 points in the game, highlighted by a 12-of-16 field goal performance.
The Toros will make a brief road trip across LA county to visit Cal Poly Pomona Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
