SAN MARCOS – The Cal State Dominguez Hills men's basketball team faced a difficult evening Thursday as undefeated Cal State San Marcos led practically the entire contest and handed the Toros a 79-41 defeat at The Sports Center.
 
D'Mauria Jones and Jordan Hilstock each had seven points to lead the scoring effort for the Toros, but it was a rough night all around. Jones also led the team in rebounds with five.
 
San Marcos took the lead 24 seconds into the game and never looked back. The Cougars hit 44 percent of their shots while dominating the rebounding 46-36.
 
The Toros wrap up the road trip Saturday at Cal State LA. Tipoff is at 3 p.m. Current CSUDH students may catch a bus ride for free to Cal State LA. The bus leaves Parking Lot 7 at 11:45 a.m.
