WHAT HAPPENED?
- Trailing 1-0 since the first inning, the Toros would tie the game in the fourth when Kish's double down the left field line scored
Benjamin Donerson all the way from first.
- The Toros took the lead one inning later. Grand Decatrel led off with a single, reached second on an error and scored on a squeeze play by
Jose Jimenez.
- Dominguez Hills collected what was an insurance policy in the sixth when pinch-hitter
Joe Canepa drew an RBI bases-loaded walk to give the Toros a 3-1 lead.
- Gomez, making his second ever appearance on the mound as a Toro, pitched solidly for three innings of relief, despite allowing the tying run in the seventh.
- The Eagles had an opportunity to walkoff in the ninth with the bases loaded but
Mike Martinez escaped the jam by getting Bailey Collins to line out to second.
- Martinez fell victim in the late innings after giving up a leadoff walk that allowed the Eagles to setup a sacrifice bunt followed by a walkoff single.
