CARSON – Avoiding another round of overtime for the second straight game,
Alex Garcia connected a 3-point shot from the right corner pocket with one second remaining to give Cal State Dominguez Hills a 69-66 edge over Cal State San Marcos at the Sports Center Saturday afternoon.
The win helps the Toros (12-11, 10-8 CCAA) keep pace in what has been a very tight conference playoff race. Pending on the results of Humboldt State and Cal State LA later tonight, Dominguez Hills for now has sole possession of sixth place. The Jacks play host to Cal State San Bernardino while the Golden Eagles visit UC San Diego.

- It is the fifth time this season that Kresl has reached 20 points in a game. His last was on the road at San Francisco State last month.
WHO'S NEXT?
The Toros will return home for the final time in the regular season next weekend hosting Humboldt State Thursday and Chico State Saturday. Both are 7:30 p.m. starts. The Toros will be seeking revenge after losing to both teams on the road last month.
