LA JOLLA - The Cal State Dominguez Hills men's basketball team fell to UC San Diego by a final score of 94-85 in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup, Thursday night at the Torodome. The Tritons improve to 18-6 overall and 13-4 in conference play. The Toros drop to 11-11 overall and 9-8 in the CCAA.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- Trailing by three points, 78-75, sophomore
Colten Kresl nailed a 3-pointer with 2.8 seconds left on the clock to send the game into overtime. The Toros were outscored 16-7 in the extra five minutes and fell 94-85.
- UCSD held a slight 14-9 advantage after the first five minutes of play. From there, CSUDH would go on a 15-0 run, capped off by a 3-pointer from junior
Wonder Smith, to take a 24-14 lead, its biggest of the contest. The Tritons responded as the Toros took a 39-36 advantage into halftime.
- Both teams went back-and-forth in the second half with eight lead changes and four ties.
- The Toros hit several big shots down the stretch. Trailing by two, 70-68, senior
Mikey Hatfield drained a 3-pointer to put CSUDH up one with three minutes left. Down by two points, 75-73, Smith drew a fould and knocked down two free throws to even the score with 45 ticks on the clock. UCSD hit a trey to go up by three points, 78-75, before Kresl nailed the game-tying 3-pointer.
TORO NOTES
- It was déjà vu for Kresl as he previously nailed a game-winning 3-pointer at UCSD last season.
- The Toros committed only eight turnovers, tied for the lowest of the season.
- CSUDH hit 100 percent of their free throws, the first time that has happened this year.
