Nick Kornieck each had 10 as the Cal State Dominguez Hills men's basketball team fell 82-60 to Simon Fraser on the final day of the CCAA/GNAC Showcase at Western Washington's Carver Gym Saturday night.
The Toros fall to 0-2 to start the season as they open the Torodome against Fresno Pacific Thursday at 6 p.m.
Simon Fraser (1-1) not only dominated the rebounding 40-28, it also shot nearly 51 percent from the field. The Toros was held to 40 percent despite making eight 3-pointers.
Wonder Smith led the effort for CSUDH on the boards with five.
The Clan's Julian Roche and Othniel Spence combined for 41 points to lead their team.
The Toros had quickly fallen behind 17-2 with a little over seven minutes into the game. That deficit was erased six minutes later when the Toros went on a 19-2 run to take a 21-19 lead. Bradley scored seven of those points during the run.
Dominguez Hills took a 32-31 lead into halftime. Following Garcia's pair of free throws to give the Toros a 39-38 lead with 15:41 left, the Clan retook the lead 20 seconds later and never looked back.
