CALIFORNIA – Juniors
Holly Kaemerle and
Haley McDevitt from the Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team were named All-California Collegiate Athletic Association. Kaemerle was placed on the second team, while McDevitt received honorable mention accolades.
Kaemerle scored a team-high nine goals on the season, the most a Toro has scored since
Jessica Murphy netted 15 in 2011, and two assists in 16 games played. Kaemerle finished the season in terrific fashion scoring one goal each in the final three games and four out of the last five.
McDevitt had two goals and one assist in 14 games. Primarily used as a defender, she averaged 84 minutes per contest on the pitch, playing a whole game nine times. One of McDevitt's goals was the game-winner in the 88th minute against Cal State San Marcos.
The Toros finished their 2019 campaign at 8-8-2 overall, 6-4-1 in conference play and qualified for the CCAA Tournament for the first time in a decade.
