POMONA - The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team's California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup at 25th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona ended in a 1-1 double overtime draw, Thursday at Kellogg Field.
The Toros (3-6-2, 1-3-1 CCAA) held a 13-8 shot advantage in 110 minutes of play.
Trailing 1-0, CSUDH scored in the 73rd minute as junior forward
Sara Kattainen's corner kick was headed in the air by junior
Madeleine Simones. The ball then found junior
Holly Kaemerle's head and into the lower left part of the net for the equalizer. It was Kaemerle's fifth goal of the season.
The Broncos (8-3-1, 4-1-1 CCAA) scored in the 40th minute for the first goal of the game.
