LA JOLLA - Cal State Dominguez Hills fell in a tough road matchup to UC San Diego, already crowned the conference regular season champions, in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) women's basketball action, Thursday at RIMAC Arena.

UCSD is now 24-3 overall and 20-1 in the CCAA. CSUDH is now 12-15 overall and 10-11 in conference play.

Junior guard
Nautica Morrow had 15 points and three steals. Senior forward
Taylor Farris recorded 12 points, six rebounds, three steals and two blocks.

The Toros started slow and trailed 23-14 at the end of the first quarter.

CSUDH started the second quarter on a 7-2 run, capped off by a Morrow steal and fast break layup, to cut the margin to four, 25-21. The Tritons responded and expanded their lead to 10 points at halftime, 42-32.

UCSD kept the offensive onslaught going in the second half. The Tritons eventually opened up to their biggest lead of the game, 86-56, with 2:48 left in the game and cruised the rest of the way to prevail.

CSUDH will have one final regular season game at Cal State San Marcos on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m.
