SAN MARCOS - Cal State Dominguez Hills used a 24-6 third quarter to defeat Cal State San Marcos by a final score of 65-52 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) women's basketball matchup, Saturday at The Sports Center.

CSUDH improves to 13-14 overall and 11-11 in conference play. With the win, the Toros lock up a spot in the upcoming CCAA Tournament. The Cougars drop to 8-18 overall and 8-14 in the CCAA.

Nautica Morrow had a season-high 25 points to go along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Paradise Hanchett and
Desiree Harding also recorded 10 rebounds. Harding also had five assists in the contest.

The Toros used a 10-0 run in the middle of the first quarter to grab a 19-12 lead at the end of 10 minutes. CSUSM flipped the script in the second quarter and outscored CSUDH 17-8 to take a 29-27 advantage at halftime.

The Toros came out of the gates from the intermission on fire, scoring 22 unanswered points, ignited by a Hanchett layup and capped off by a jumper from
Taylor Farris, to take a 20-point lead, 49-29. CSUDH used the big cushion and cruised the rest of the way to earn a 13-point victory.

The Toros grab the seventh seed in the upcoming CCAA Tournament and will play at Cal Poly Pomona on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 5:30 p.m.
