Men's Basketball Falls to Alaska at the Buzzer

BILLINGS, Mont. – The Cal State Dominguez Hills men's basketball team couldn't protect a one-point lead with 6.1 seconds as Alaska got a layup before the end-of-period lights came on to knock the Toros 76-75 on the final day of the Montana State Billings Thanksgiving Tournament Saturday.

The Toros complete the non-conference schedule 2-3.

WHAT HAPPENED?

- The Toros broke a 6-6 tie at 12:38 on Michael Chavers layup and would take a 34-27 lead into intermission. Dominguez Hills' largest lead was 10 on at least three different occasions. Alaska would use an 8-0 run to erase tie the game at 56 apiece with 6:44 remaining.
- David Howard had seven of the Toros 32 rebounds. The Nanooks grabbed 33 off the glass, including a dozen from Michael Kluting.
- Morris had 13 of his 16 points scored in the second half.
