ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team dug an early hole, could not recover and fell to No. 6 Alaska Anchorage by a final score of 69-53 in a non-conference matchup, Saturday night at the Alaska Airlines Center. The Seawolves remain unbeaten and improve to a 4-0 overall record. The Toros come up empty in their two-game Alaskan road trip and drop to 2-2.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- CSUDH got off to a slow start and trailed 19-8 after the opening quarter. The Toros shot 3-for-13 from the field and committed eight turnovers in the period.
- UAA led by as much as 19 points three different times in the second quarter, including on a layup from Kian McNair with nine seconds left to go up 37-18. It would be the largest advantage that the Seawolves would get for the rest of the contest as
Nautica Morrow nailed a buzzer-beating 3-pointer. CSUDH trailed 37-21 at halftime.
- The Toros started the third period with an 8-2 run to get within 10 points. It would be the closest CSUDH would get for the remainder of the game as UAA pulled away and led by 13 points, 52-39, with one quarter left.
- Both teams started the final period cold as neither side scored a point for the first 4:25. The Toros got to within 11, but the margin was insurmountable and ultimately fell by 16 points.
