Sadler, Tanner Combine for 47 Points in Win Over Coyotes

CARSON – Justin Sadler scored 24 points to match his season high, Dharion Tanner did set a personal best at 23 and the hot-shooting Cal State Dominguez Hills men's basketball team ran away late to a 73-58 conference win over Cal State San Bernardino Saturday night.
 
Almost every shot the Toros had made tonight reached the bucket as the Cardinal and Gold shot 58 percent from the field. Sadler and Tanner combined for 22 of 30 in field goals.
 
Sadler also grabbed 10 of the Toros 33 rebounds to complete a double-double for the second time in three games. Deondre Otis and Jonathan Nichols shared equal numbers in six points, six rebounds and five assists.
 
The Coyotes, who shot 42 percent, saw Khleem Perkins, Dorian Butler and Ramon Eaton combine for 45 points.
 
Perkins would make an old-fashion 3-point play to give the Coyotes their first and only lead in the second half, but the Toros took over and went on a 16-4 run to build a 63-52 lead. CSUDH would go on to lead by as many as 15.
 
The Toros make a visit to the Bay Area starting with San Francisco State Friday at 7:30 p.m.
