Bubby Rossman Named a 2014 Rawlings Gold Glove All-Region Selection

TURLOCK -- Senior outfielder Bubby Rossman was one of nine Division II West Region players selected to the 2014 Rawlings Gold Glove West Region Team as one of the three top defensive outfielders in the region, it was announced earlier.  With this selection, Rossman now is eligible for ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove consideration, which will be selected on Sunday, May 25, in conjunctioin with the Division II National Championship Tournament.

This is Rossman's first Glove Glove honor, and marks the fifth time this has been awarded following four selections in the 2010 season when current MLB Toronto Blue Jay Kevin Pillar, former NY Met Carlos Levya, Abel Medina and Steve Carrillo earned the program's first such honors, with Pillar and Leyva earning national Gold Glove honors.

Rossman was stellar in the outfield, converting all 109 chances during the year while notching 7 assists, a stellar number for an outfield position.

The La Habra Heights native was the lone Toro to start all 49 games in right field, the most starts in the same position by any Toro player.

Rossman also spent time on the mound, making 8 appearances and earning one save.

Here is the complete list of 2014 Rawlings Gold Glove West Region honorees.
