INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Despite dropping both games on the road last weekend, the Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team stayed at No. 6 in this week's NCAA West Region poll.
CCAA leader and No. 15 Cal Poly Pomona checked in at the top spot, with Montana State Billings and Simon Fraser each dropping a spot to No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
Following the Clan are Seattle Pacific and Chico State which held steady at Nos. 4 and 5, with Academy of Art moving up three places to No. 7, Alaska Anchorage debuting at No. 8, and UC San Diego and Western Washington both falling one spot to round out the top 10.
The top eight teams in the West Region will advance to NCAA postseason play, with the top seed getting the opportunity to host the first three rounds.
The Wildcats currently sit alone in 2nd place in league play behind the Broncos while the Toros, Cal State L.A. and Tritons remain deadlocked in a three-way tie for third, with UCSD visiting both Cal State L.A. and Carson in the final weekend of the regular season.
Of those three teams, UCSD has won four-consecutive while CSULA and CSUDH both have dropped three-straight.
The entire field of NCAA participants will be announced on March 9.
