Kevin Logan Named Rawlings/CCAA Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK – Cal State Dominguez Hills' Kevin Logan has been named the Rawlings/California Collegiate Athletic Association Baseball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 25-Mar. 3.  This is Logan's first CCAA POW honor.

The junior outfielder led the Toros to another 3-1 series win, this time over Cal State San Bernardino.

Logan recorded a .417 average on the weekend after hitting five-for-12.  The Harbor City native tallied six runs, two RBI, two walks, and a double on the weekend.

His overall performance was highlighted with his three-for-four effort and game-winning run in the Toros 2-0 road win on Friday, followed by his walk-off RBI baseknock that gave the Toros their first of two walk-off wins during Saturday's double-header.

Logan also showed his effectiveness on the basepaths after stealing safely on three-of-four attempts, as well as in the field as he handled all 13 attempts, including a diving putout during the twinbill.

The Toros will continue CCAA play this weekend against Cal Poly Pomona, traveling to Pomona on Thursday and Friday before concluding the series with a twinbill on Saturday at Toro Field, with first pitch of game one set for an 11 am start.
