Warriors Say No (No) in 8-4 and 3-0 Sweep Over Toros

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

TURLOCK -- Host Cal State Stanislaus used a 6-run 7th inning to complete its come-from-behind 8-4 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills in game one of today's twinbill as Brady Conlan (pictured) and Hayden Maurice each knocked a pair of hits to account for half the team's total, before Warrior Andrew Graham tossed a no-hitter in CSUS' 3-0 nightcap win to sweep the twinbill.

With the losses, the Toros dip to 12-12, 9-10 CCAA, while the Warriors improve to 7-19, 4-15 CCAA.

The Toros continued their momentum from yesterday's win, staking starter Joseph Perez to a 4-0 lead after three innings of play, with RBI baseknocks by Tony McClendon and a passed ball accounting for the first two runs in the 2nd, and a failed pick off attempt plating two more in the 3rd.

True to their namesake, however, the Warriors replied with single runs in both the 4th and 5th innings, and then took the lead for good with 6 runs in the 7th on just three hits, capitalizing on two hit batters, a bases loaded walk and a 2RBI single up the box by Ross Gonsalves.

David Haerle picked up the loss in relief, pitching 1.2 innings and allowing 3 earned runs.

The nightcap was all Graham as the redshirt senior faced just 25 batters, 4 over the minimum 21 for a 7-inning game, fanning 4 Toros with 3 base on balls with one hit batter.

The two teams conclude the series with game four tomorrow, set for an 11 am start
