WALNUT CREEK -- Cal State Dominguez Hills junior forward Aaron Salazar has been named the Wilson/California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 17-Sept. 23, it was announced by the CCAA Conference office on Monday.
The West Covina native lifted his team to a 2-0 weekend, defeating Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday before an impressive 4-0 Sunday win over Cal State East Bay.
For the weekend, the transfer scored half of the Toros goals, with one in the 2-0 win over the Otters, with a pair coming in Sunday's dominating victory over the Pioneers.
Salazar tallied eight total points with two assists in addition to his three goals scored and recorded a .571 (4-for-7) shot-on-goal percentage.
The Toros, now winners of two-straight, will look to keep that momentum going with a pair of critical south division road contests at UC San Diego and Cal State L.A. this weekend.
