CARSON -- Cal State L.A.'s Rosario Bras scored twice as the visiting Golden Eagles dealt Cal State Dominguez Hills a 2-0 defeat on a warm Sunday afternoon at Toro Stadium, dropping the Toros to 1-4-1, 1-3-1 CCAA.

The Golden Eagles, meanwhile, improve to 4-2, 3-1 CCAA.

After a scoreless first half that saw the two teams combine for 16 shots, the defenses began to settle in after the break.

With zeros still showing on the scoreboard in the 56th minute, however, Bras netted the first of his two scores on the day.

Collecting a through ball from Antti Arvola, Bras drilled his shot past Toro keeper Juan Quiroz for a 1-0 lead at 55:08.

That's where the score remained until the waning seconds when Bras beat Quiroz 1v1, dribbled around the fallen keeper and sent home the empty netter as time expired to account for the final score.

Aaron Salazar posted 4 shot attempts to lead the Toros, who dropped their second-consecutive 2-0 decision.

CSUDH will try to regroup next weekend as Cal State Monterey Bay visits Carson for the middle of three home league matches.
