ROHNERT PARK -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team suffered its first sweep of the year after a 16-0 series finale loss to Sonoma State on Sunday afternoon.

The Toros return home and fall to the bottom of the CCAA standings with a record of 2-10, 4-12 overall, while the Seawolves remain on top with an improved CCAA record of 10-2 and 12-6 overall.

Senior Danny Torres offered up an early Sonoma lead after allowing six earned runs in just 3.1 innings of work.  Coming in for relief on the afternoon was Brandon Quezada with one earned run in 2.1 innings pitched, before the trio of Jonathan Boersma, Cody Yates, and Benny Vo did not give up a single earned run in combined 2.1 innings.

Two errors proved costly as nine unanswered runs crossed the plate for the Seawolves in the blowout.

Offensively, CSUDH managed just two hits off SSU starter Harmen Sidhu, who also fanned four Toros in five innings of work.

The Toros will return home for the first game of a four-game series against Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday afternoon, with first pitch set for a 2:00 pm start.
