The women's basketball seniors (L-R): Hughes, Boutte', Smith, Hulsizer, Brown, Duron
Box Score
CARSON -- Despite the emotion of six seniors playing their final game in the friendly confines of the Torodome, it was visiting Chico State that felt most at home in Carson tonight as the Wildcats rolled to a convincing 80-53 win over the Toros.  Junior Porcha Davis led the Toros with 16 points on the night.

The Toros will go into their last weekend of play with a CCAA record of 2-18 and 3-24 overall.  Chico State, which has already clinched a CCAA postseason berth, is now 15-9 overall and 12-8 in conference play.

Chico State, who ran up the score on the Cal State L.A. Friday night, decided to take that momentum into the game against the Toros on Saturday, entering the half up 17 points.

The Toros made it close after the break, tallying 32 points to Chico State's 42, but it wasn't nearly enough in the Wildcat runaway win.

Toro seniors Sherrie Hughes led the Toros on the boards with seven rebounds, while Zipporah Brown contributed offensively with nine points on the night.

Before the contest, the Toros bid farewell to six seniors playing in their final game in the Torodome in Meghan Duron, Brown, Hughes, Nikki Boutte' and Brittni Hulsizer.

The Toros wrap up their season mid-week with a game at San Francisco State Wednesday night and at Cal Poly Pomona on Friday.  Tip-off will be at 5:30 p.m. for both contests.
