Gators Sweep Past Toros

SAN FRANCISCO – Powered by Meagan Wright's 11-kill, six-block performance, the San Francisco State women's volleyball team registered a 3-0 victory (25-17, 28-26, 25-16) over visiting Cal State Dominguez Hills in a California Collegiate Athletic Association match Friday inside The Swamp.

The Gators hit .310 as a team and racked up 10 total blocks and seven service aces to raise their record to 18-6 overall and 13-4 in conference play, while the Toros slip to 9-14 on the season and 7-9 in the CCAA.

Whitney Lee led the Toros wtih 11 kills and three block assists as CSUDH mustered just a .170 hitting percentage on the night.

Delea Pursel added 7 kills and Elizabeth Krieger 6 kills in the loss.

The Toros will continue their CCAA road trip at Sonoma State tomorrow night, with first serve set for 7 pm.
