SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco State out-hit Cal State Dominguez Hills .422 to .042 in the third to last regular season match of the year, and the result was a 25-6, 25-18, 25-18 sweep in The Swamp.

With the loss, CSUDH drops to 1-23, 0-20 CCAA.

The first set was all the hosts, as SFSU raced to an 11-2 lead and never looked back en route to a dominating 25-6 win.

CSUDH showed up in the second set, keeping within 12-11 on an Azieanna Smith kill before the hosts went on a 9-3 run to take a 21-14 lead.  The two teams then split the final 8 points in the Gators' 25-18 set two win.

SFSU continued its momentum after the intermission after taking a 4-1 lead on a Toro error.  A Gator error and three-straight points from Elizabeth Krieger, however, pulled the Toros to a 4-4 tie, only to see the hosts reel off a 6-2 run to take control of the set.

The Gators kept their lead hovering around the 6-point margin the rest of the set, before a Kelly Ostello kill put the set away at 25-18, and the match at 3 sets to none.

SFSU boasted three players with at least 10 kills as CSUDH committed 11 more errors than their hosts in the sweep, while Delea Pursel led the Toros with 8 kills.

CSUDH will wrap up its regular season next weekend on the road, beginning with a date against CS Stanislaus on Friday, November 11.
