No. 9 Toros Stuffed Cold as Coyotes Grab 4-0 Win

Box Score
SAN BERNARDINO -- Finishing the afternoon one shot shy of their hosts, the No. 9 Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer team was unable to make due on five opportunities on frame as the Coyotes of Cal State San Bernardino handed them their first loss of the season.  Greg Piechota led all Toros with two shots, both on frame.

The win was poetic justice for the Coyotes who saw their post-season hopes slip away last year in a CCAA Tournament first round 2-1 CSUDH decision.

Seeing both of his shots on frame, Piechota was unable to capitalize with a goal as CSUSB's Tanner Olinger stopped all five Toro opportunities in their tracks.

A pair of goals from Julio Ayala and three assists from Marco Martinez gave the hosts all the scoring they needed with Obi Agwu putting the first notch on the board as he collected a loose ball inside the box to send a quick touch past Markus Dickerson.

Both Diego Turoldo and Jordan Rover tallied three shots apiece, sending one each between the posts.

Dickerson stopped two in the box before relegating duties to Eric Davis, who saw 15 minutes of action.

The loss is a first for the Toros in conference play who now stand at 3-1-1 in the CCAA and 4-1-2 overall. Next kick-off for CSUDH is Sunday at 2:00pm as the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos play host.
