CARSON -- Defense ruled the afternoon as Cal State Dominguez Hills and UC San Diego battled to a scoreless draw after two overtime periods, with the Toro defense especially shining after not allowing a shot on goal for the guests.  With the tie, CSUDH moves to 7-2-2, 5-2-2 CCAA.  Alex Munoz led with 4 shots in the game.

The Toros dominated from the start, out-shooting the visitors 5-1 in the first and 8-1 in the second for a decisive 13-2 advantage after regulation, only to see zeros on the scoreboard for both sides.

Overtime mirrored regulation as CSUDH enjoyed a 5-2 shot advantage over the Tritons in the extra sessions, only to see UCSD keeper Jesse Brennan stop all 7 shots on goal.

Conversely, the Toro defense suffocated UCSD's offense en route to zero shots on goal for UCSD as neither team was able to find the back of the net.

Overall, CSUDH tallied 8 corners to UCSD's 3 in the draw.

CSUDH, which has scored just three goals in the last five games, looks get its offense going on Sunday as Cal State East Bay visits Toro Stadium for an 11:30 am first kick with the game being available on live video here, after the Pioneers fell 4-0 to Cal State L.A. earlier today.
