Box Score
CARSON -- Junior Tyler Petry was in the right place at the right time, collecting a slot deep inside visiting Cal Poly Pomona's zone with just under four minutes left in the first half and punching it by the Broncos' diving keeper for a 1-0 lead that would give CSUDH its first CCAA win of the year, moving them to 2-2-1, 1-1-1 CCAA.

The Toros suffered early defensive lapses, as evidenced by CPP's Tyler Reinhart making deep runs in the CSUDH zone, including a 1-on-3 effort that saw his blast go just wide in the 20th minute.

CSUDH regrouped just before halftime as an Andrew Marinez ball found Alex Munoz, who sent a through ball to the feet of Petry, who found the net at 41:32 for the game's first goal.

The hosts continued to apply pressure after the break, as Andre Turoldo hit the post five minutes in, and a Diego Turoldo blast from point blank range after a scrum was denied with about 10 minutes left in regulation.

Cal Poly Pomona, now 2-3, 0-2 CCAA, was outshot 18-13 and out-cornered, with the two teams combining for 25 fouls and four cautions.

Bronco keeper Brad Jones made 5 saves while counterpart Markus Dickerson was credited with 3 in the win.

The Toros hit the road before returning to Carson on September 25.
