No. 8 CSUDH Blanks Seattle Pacific, 3-0, for Third Straight Win

Box Score
Seattle, WA -- Cal State Dominguez Hills put forth a dominating performance at Seattle Pacific this afternoon as the 8th-ranked Toros outshot the Falcons 20-8, including 14-3 in the second half, while riding senior Kyle Holland's first half goal en route to a 3-0 blanking of the hosts.  Freshman Greg Piechota also tallied two assists in the shutout win.

Holland accounted for all the scoring the Toros would need in the 28th minute as he took a Piechota feed from the right flank and connected on a 16-yard blast.

At 51:32, Piechota then found Jordan Rover about 15 yards away down the left side, and Rover proceeded to direct his shot into the lower right of the net for a commanding 2-0 lead.

Junior Mario Guerrero got his name into the scoring book at 74:30 as he took a re-direct in the mouth of the goal off the foot of Scott Mariano, and found pay dirt to close the scoring.

Senior keeper Miguel Benitez, making his first start as a Toro, earned his first win while the CSUDH defense continued its mid-season form by blanking its second opponent in three contests.

The Toros conclude their greater northwest travels on Friday, September 5, for a 1:30 pm first kick at St. Martin's, located in Lacey, Washington.
