Carson, CA -- Members from the Cal State Dominguez Hills athletics staff, coaches and student-athletes all volunteered their time earlier today in support of the Susan G. Komen "Komen on the Go" project, which involed two mobile educational vehicles serving as interactive learning stations for the education and treatment of breast cancer.
Athletics business manager Theresa Cuarenta and baseball head coach Murphy Su'a and wife Nina took the morning shift, along with baseball's Kevin Pillar, volleyball's Ashley Clark, who also serves as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President and members of the softball team, whose efforts were divided between promoting the mobiles, helping at the mobiles, and handing out stickers to attract awareness.
Joining baseball, softball, volleyball, track and field, golf and women's basketball from athletics and SAAC were the University Health Center, Women's Resource Center, SLICE, Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority, University Advancement and the Office of Government and Community Relations.
