Seventh-Ranked Toros Fall 3-1 at Chico State

Box Score
Chico, CA -- Senior Carmelo Terranova provided the first goal of the game, but host Chico State replied with three-unanswered to end 7th-ranked Cal State Dominguez Hills' four-game win streak with a 3-1 win in front of a raucous Wildcat crowd.

After taking a 1-0 lead on Terranova's near post blast from 18 yards out that accounted for the first half's only score, the hosts turned up the offensive heat to the tune of three goals after the break.

Chico State's Zac Crim, Kevin Gibson and Evan Armstrong all put up goals in a span of 8 minutes, sealing the Toros' fate.

The Wildcats peppered CSUDH to the tune of a 7-3 shot advantage in the second half, handing Toro keeper Miguel Benitez the loss.

The Toros, who fell to 11-2-1, 6-2-1 CCAA, continue CCAA road action on Sunday as they take on Cal State Stanislaus for a 2:00 pm first kick in Turlock.
