Johnny Palmer was "Mr. Clutch," making the most out of his opportunity on Saturday by belting a double to the left center field gap to bring home the game-winner in a 3-2, 10-inning win over No. 26 UC San Diego, which was ranked 5th in the NCAA West.

Coming into the game in the top of the 9th with the score tied at 2-2, Palmer made his lone at-bat of the game a memorable one by taking a 2-1 offering the other way to score pinch-runner Forrest Riley, bringing the Toros to the CCAA Championship game later that evening against top-seeded Cal Poly Pomona.
