Gatewood was nails as the Toros swept past Chico State in Saturday's doubleheader, tossing 5.0 innings while scattering just 3 hits without an earned run scored, all while fanning 8 Wildcat batters.

The junior flamethrower earned his first win of the year in the 6-1 win.

He also tossed an inning in the nonconference contest against Point Loma the Tuesday prior, fanning 2 in 1.0 inning of work.
