Kisha Calbert is entering her fourth year with the Cal State Dominguez Hills Athletics Department as the Student Success Coordinator aftter joining the team in the 2020 spring semester.
In her role, Ms. Calbert monitors the student-athletes' progress in the classroom while offering guidance and leadership with their collegiate experience. In addition, she serves as the advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and serves on several campus committees geared to student success.
With almost 20 years in Athletic Academic Advising, Kisha is no stranger to the California State University system, having served as an athletic academic advisor for San Josê State and Fresno State. With the Spartans she advised the men's cross country, women's water polo, women's swimming & diving, women's volleyball and beach volleyball and the women's track & field programs. She was also a part of bringing Men's Water Polo back to San Jose. With the Bulldogs she advised the baseball, men's and women's basketball, equestrian, women's golf, swimming & diving and football programs. She also supported the department when they brought Wrestling back to the Central Valley and helped support the Women's Water Polo team when they began to form in 2017.
She also served in a similar capacity at the University of Arizona, advising the women's basketball, women's soccer and baseball programs. Her career in academic advising began in 2007 with UC Riverside. With the Highlanders she advised for all sports and was the SAAC advisor and supported Life Skills.
Kisha earned her Bachelor of Arts in Movement & Exercise Science: Athletic Training from Chapman followed by a Master of Science in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific
