- Chose CSUDH because of the opportunity to earn a degree very close to home and he could have support from his family. The school also gave him the opportunity to continue his basketball career
- Cites winning his first CIF playoff game as a great athletic moment
- Wants to get the most of his athletic potential as he possibly can to help lead the program to 15 wins and making an NCAA Tournament appearance
