Joining the Toro baseball staff in the Fall of 2009, Pfohl also will begin his fourth season as Facilities Coordinator in 2015.

In his role as Facilities Coordinator, Pfohl is responsible for the coordinating, scheduling and rental for all athletics facilities (gym, swimming pool, softball field, baseball and activities field) by both on-and off-campus entities (CAMS, intramurals, Stub Hub Center, outside entities and CSUDH), as well as facilities maintenance.  Additionally, he will coordinate the vanpool duties for the department.
 
Pfohl comes to Carson with a deep history of the game having coached at the high school, collegiate and summer league levels.

Prior to CSUDH, Pfohl served for one year at nearby Vanguard University, serving as the associate recruiting coordinator, outfield coach and first base coach.

Graduating from Whittier College with his bachelor’s degree in business administration, Pfohl saw action for the Poets as a pitcher from 2004-2006.

After graduation from Whittier College, Pfohl served as the pitching coach for the Mankato Moondogs of the prestigious collegiate Northwoods League. The Moondogs were first-half Northern Division Champs and finished one game behind the eventual division-winning Thunder Bay Border Cats. Pfohl also has high school coaching experience from serving as an assistant varsity coach for Head Coach Steve Vickery at San Diego powerhouse El Capitan High School.

Born in San Francisco, Calif., Pfohl currently resides in Huntington Beach, enjoys golfing and spending time with family and friends, and is engaged to Kristina Rients, with their wedding planned for November of this year.
