CARSON -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team suffered its first shutout of the year as visiting Biola took a 2-0 decision over the Toros with a single goal in each half.
Sophomore
Emmalee Snow took a third of CSUDH's six shot attempts in the loss, dropping the Toros to 1-2 on the year.
Biola lit up the scoreboard early, taking a 1-nil lead at the 12:28 mark as part of outshooting the Toros 5-1 in the first 45 minutes of play.
The Toros became the aggressors after the break to the tune of a 5-2 shot advantage, but BU keeper Laura Brennan was up to the task with a pair of saves.
Still looking to knot the match late in the second half, BU put the game away with an unassisted score in the 85th minute for the eventual 2-0 tally.
Toro keeper
Marlies Nauman saved one ball in the loss as four other Toros were credited with a shot apiece.
CSUDH completes its non-conference schedule on Saturday morning, hosting Northwest Nazarene for an 11:30 am first kick at Toro Stadium.
