Box Score HAYWARD -- It was a game of bests as Cal State Dominguez Hills took down Cal State East Bay by a 93-76 tally to extend its win streak to a season-best four games, with
Tiara Jones scoring a season-best 22 points and the Toros' 93 marking the most points scored this season.
The Toros move into a tie for 6th place in the CCAA standings, improving to 8-13 overall and 8-8 in CCAA play.
The Cardinal and Gold shot a sizzling 53.6% from the floor and an even better and season-best 55.6% from 3-point land, taking a 45-33 lead at the half and never looking back. Jones led a quintet of Toros in double-figure scoring, with
Camryn Washington adding 17,
Bryanne Lopez-Wood scoring 12, and
Amaya Washington and
A'moree Ferrel chipping in 10 apiece.
CSUDH's depth played a huge role in today's win, with 59 points coming from reserves.
After the Pioneers cut their deficit to 68-61 after three, CSUDH regained control by outscoring the hosts 25-15 in the fourth to secure the win.
Lopez-Wood added team-best totals of eight boards and seven assists, with Jones adding a game-high three blocks to her statline.
The Toros return home next week, hotsing Cal State San Marcos on Thursday at 5:30 pm in the Torodome.
