RVINE, Calif. – Playing a man down for more than 60 minutes, Cal State Dominguez Hills battled through adversity but fell 2-0 to Concordia on Saturday afternoon at Golden Eagles Field.
The Toros generated six shots in the contest, with three on frame, led by Cameron Belandres' early pressure that forced a pair of saves. Defender Jeremy Gonzalez also tested the keeper in the opening minutes, and senior captain Diego Barahona added a late attempt as CSUDH continued to push forward until the final whistle.
In goal, sophomore Keegan O'Brien stood tall against a busy Concordia attack, collecting six saves to keep Dominguez Hills within striking distance.
Despite the result, the Toros showed resilience and composure throughout the match, holding the Golden Eagles scoreless until the 74th minute.
Dominguez Hills will return home Thursday, Sept. 11, to face Western Washington at 7 p.m. under the lights at Toro Stadium.
